i just got the second collection today  ;D i now have the whole series YAY. does anyone know where the film comes into it? please dont give away anything on the story, ive still got to watch the series and ive never seen the film or really know anything about it  :)

The film isn't properly related to the anime; it's a bit like an OVA. Apparently it's really really different from the series!

Escaflowne is great though... I remember the days of watching it on Fox Kids at 7pm, with the loller theme tune that just goes 'ESCAFLOWNE' in weird voices over and over again. Plus it had Kirby Morrow in it! He played Van. OCEAN GROUP LUFF!!
